She's actually hurt that you would doubt her feelings for you. I think she likes you a lot, even if for a single second she showed some emotion she must trust you and like you quite a bit. As for the distancing situation, they like their personal space and a significant amount of freedom and thats one thing that others need to learn to accept and respect.
